Masters Degree in Communications, Illinois State University—current
Program revolved around an education in a diverse theoretical frameworks and research methods appropriate to the advanced study of communication. Emphasis was on the application of scholarly knowledge to evaluate and solve social problems.
Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Illinois State University ’92
Degree focused on creative problem solving skills, typography, and image creation. The program developed an understanding of perceptual theory, typography, layout, and illustration. The graphic design sequence taught various technical skills including computer software applications. The cohesive sequencing of courses allowed the building of skills inorder to develop work which successfully combined words and images into creative visual communication.
