The Curse of the Viermes is a three-part Dungeons and Dragons adventure series that begins with "Masquerade of the Viermes," where Baron Daniel DeCobray hires the party to investigate his wife's disappearance from the blighted Vierme Manor. They uncover a curse plaguing the family, stemming from a stolen artifact called the "Eye of Water". The quest continues in "The Caleuche's Cry," as the party travels to the port city of Winetha to seek a sage's aid and then sails to the island of Ooaahhuu to return the Eye. Along the way, they encounter the corrupted ghost ship, the Caleuche, and must free it from the control of a monstrous Rat King. The final adventure, "The Blight of Ooaahhuu," sees the party arrive at the cursed island, now a festering swamp. They must navigate the blighted landscape, confront the witch known as the Cron, and ultimately return the Eye of Water to the statue of the goddess Pele to lift the curse and restore balance to the land. The trilogy concludes with the curse being lifted and the island beginning to heal, but a new storm on the horizon hints at future adventures
Sent to investigate a noble's disappearance at the cursed Vierme Manor, your party uncovers a massacre of masquerade guests at the hands of the monstrous Vierme's Slither. You must confront these creatures and the manor's insane lord, Count Ibilis, to escape the grim estate.
A quest to break the Vierme Curse leads the party to set sail for the island of Ooaahhuu. Their journey is interrupted by the Caleuche, a ghost ship now under the control of the malevolent Rat King. To continue their adventure, the heroes must confront the Rat King and free the Caleuche from its corruption.
After arriving on the blighted island of Ooaahhuu, the party must journey through a treacherous swamp to find the Temple of Pele. There, they must return the stolen Eye of Water and seal it with the blood of a Vierme descendant to lift the curse and heal the land.
