The "Monster Masher's Club" series is a two-part Dungeons and Dragons adventure set in the 1980s, where a group of high school friends confronts the mischievous master of mayhem, Heckna. It begins with "Butcher Clowns from the Cosmos," a single-session adventure where the party explores a seemingly innocent carnival that is actually a traveling version of Heckna's Revelia. Players must win prizes from twisted carnival games, rescue a lost child from an underground chamber, and battle grotesque minions like Froggie and a giant spider "Soda Jerk". The adventure ends with the party's return to the real world, forever changed by their horrifying experience. The saga continues in "One Quarter Till Midnight," where Heckna transforms the party's local arcade into a deadly trap. The players are forced to navigate twisted, real-life versions of classic arcade games like Frogger, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man, fighting off digitized Revelers and ghosts. The adventure culminates in a final trial in Tron's Light Cycle maze, where Heckna offers them a choice: join him as his loyal Revelers or accept a rescue from Bill and Ted, who offer them a chance to stop Heckna for good.
